Dr. Holsti completed her Bachelor of Science in Rehabilitation Medicine in 1985.  She was trained in both Physical Therapy (PT) and Occupational Therapy (OT), and worked clinically at BC Children's Hospital in the NICU and in the Neonatal Follow-up Program for almost 20 years.  During that time, she received her M.A. specializing in Measurement and Statistics.  She then completed her Ph.D. in Interdisciplinary Studies in 2004.  She joined the Department of Occupational Science and Occupational Therapy as a faculty member in 2005 and the Child & Family Research Institute as a Clinician Scientist.  She received a Canadian Child Health Clinician Scientist Program Career Award (CCHCSP; 2005-2009) and has recently been awarded a Canada Research Chair in Neonatal Health and Development.  She is also the UBC Centre Leader for CCHCSP.
